What do I need to bring with me to register?

  1. Proof of High School or GED (Diploma or transcript)
  2. I.D. (Drivers License)
  3. Birth Certificate or passport
  4. Social Security Card
  5. Resident Alien documentation (if applicable)
  6. Immunization records (TB or HEP B)

Is there financial aid available?

Valley Grande Institute has a financial aid department and a Financial Advisor can assist you with planning for:

  1. Pell Grant
  2. Student Loans
  3. FAFSA
  4. FAFSA

How do I get into the LVN program?

  1. Proof of High School or GED (Diploma or transcript), I.D. (Drivers License), Birth Certificate or passport, Social Security Card, Resident Alien documentation (if applicable), Immunization records (TB or HEP B)
  2. Pass an entrance exam and selection process given by Valley Grande
    Institute
  3. Must have certification/license as CNA or Medical Assistant or EMT or
    Surgical Tech and,
  4. Be able to pass a criminal background check and
  5. Provide reference letters and
  6. Pass a physical exam.

Are night classes available?

How long are the classes?

Most of the day classes are from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and night classes are 4:00P pm to 10:00 pm. Although this is subject to change.

Where will I do my clinical practice?

Once you have completed the instructional portion of the program and have been cleared by administration the Career Services department will assign a authorized clinical site to you. Clinical sites could be at hospitals, Clinics, Nursing Homes but are not limited to just those listed.

Will I get paid for my clinical assignment?

There is no pay while you are performing your clinical practicum…it is against the law.

What will happen once I graduate? Will VGI help me find a job?

Graduation ceremonies are scheduled once a year. Upon successful completion of all program requisites a Career Specialist will assist with planning your job search and interviewing.
